Day 5

Another cold, but sunny start ot the day! Didn't take long to warm up though, as we got busy straightway cementing the many cracks in the Barn, as well as filling the big hole/pit in the floor with rocks and debris. We were helped on the hole however, by some reet proper machinery!

While the men got on with cementing, the girls got busy in the rafters removing old wasp's nests and preparing the ceiling struts ready for jetwashing and varnishing, and coming up with some plans and ideas for the waterhole.

Michael the Magnificent Maintenance Man started work on fixing the side door, taking two tatty ones and turning them into one good one. There is no task that this man cannot do!

After picking some more supplies we were treated to the sight of a family of Zebras! We must have been only a few feet when one ran out in front of us! Sadly, nobody found Dad's "horses in pyjamas" joke very funny at all (I still think it's funny - Dad)

At lunchtime, after a lot of hard work in the morning, the kids had a bit of fun playing with the local staff's children.

At the end of the day, well past the usual finishing time, it was back home under a nice African sunset.
